The most fundamental and higher use of Vedic astrology is
rarely discussed and used as now most of the ‘astrologers’ use it for merely predictions,
making this branch of knowledge loose its real sheen and might. Though this is
what is widely prevalent now and once the sensitive or bad predictions are made,
one’s mind instantly jumps to the remedies, the ways in which relief can be
obtained or pain can be completely escaped. Remedial measures aren’t totally
right or wrong and actually depends on solidity of character of counselor and
intake capacity and limits of mind of a person at the receiving end. Though
there is no strict parameter in which we can bind these remedial measures,
still in a very broader pattern let’s see their nature, scope and applicability.
Exploring Human Psyche and Potential through Classical Wisdom of Vedic Astrology
Dynamics of Transit 2016 - Great Cosmic mess -II
Moving ahead, the impact of Saturn-Mars conjunction in
Scorpio and of Jupiter-Rahu in Leo on rest of the signs are below. (The context
of the article can be read in details in previous part)
Libra: Your
finances and how you feel, how you perceive things, will be clouded. You can
feel heavy, dull, driven by ego and anger and feelings of greed, jealousy and revenge.
Basically you can be temporarily gripped by lower qualities and actions
performed in these times can lead to long term repercussions. Financial losses
owing to wrong decisions. Big conflicts in your social life due to your ego and
hidden emotions. Blurred thinking and desire to take decision in hurry can
impact adversely. Tensed atmosphere in family life with some unfortunate event.
Getting deceived by someone close in your social circle and attraction for dark
areas in desire to earn fast can create long term issues.
What can be
done: Take second advice in big investments. Maintain ethical
behavior at work and lessen your desire for early gains. Remain patient and
hopeful that things will become better very soon and it’s a passing phase only.
Most important, control your anger and ego which can destroy all what is good.
Realize that speaking harsh or bluntly can make you feel easy for the moment
but will bring permanent dents in your personal and professional bonds. Talk
healthy and if you can’t, then stay silent. Do not boast of yourself in open
and practice strict maturity. Remain grounded, humble and serve others.
Dynamics of Transit 2016 - Great Cosmic mess - I
The essence of Jyotisha is in the understanding that all is
one big system where change at one level has to impact (indicate change) other
part as a whole. Movement or transit of planets indicate changing patterns in
individual life (as well as on masses, national level, events occurring what we
call as natural phenomenon etc.). Now to jump to current topic directly, this
year the transit of planets, in particular that of Saturn and Mars along with
Rahu and Jupiter is making a pattern which needs attention as its indicating
turmoil and restructuring at many levels. This pattern has to be recognized
well before one can hope to align his life in most optimal manner. To begin
with, here is some data for understanding what’s the broader picture looks
like:
Saturn is in Scorpio sign this whole year, Mars is in Scorpio
sign till 17th Sept (with small shift in Libra in between).Jupiter
is in Leo till 10th August while Rahu too is in Leo for whole year.
Now when we take out the subset, it comes out that in months between April to July end, Saturn and Mars will remain in
same sign of Scorpio and Jupiter and Rahu will remain in same sign of Leo. For
those who understand laymen terms, note that these signs, i.e Scorpio and Leo
form a pattern which means all these
planets will remain in mutual angles from each other. To add on to the
complexity levels, Saturn, Mars and Jupiter will also turn retrograde during
these timelines (while Rahu is always retrograde). Now let’s jump to qualitative discussion leaving behind
this technical jargon.
The Divine plan : Combinations for learning astrology - II
The real leaning occurs when we implement what we have
memorized. Continuing our discussion, lets discuss some charts which shows huge
potential for learning as well as for practicing astrology.
The first chart that comes to mind is of K.N Rao, the Rishi in present age who has
revolutionized the approach and outlook towards Vedic astrology. His research
based work and replicable patterns that he has given in his teachings have
modernized this science like never before. The foremost thing about his chart
is that planets of knowledge and intellect, Jupiter and Mercury both are exalted,
i.e extremely powerful .Jupiter is exalted in tenth house of Karma and it aspects second house(from
where comes the skills to predict).Mercury exalted in twelfth house with Ketu
is immensely rich Spiritual state and very refined state of intuition. His
ascendant itself is in Vishakha
nakshatra which belongs to Jupiter. Along with Gaja-Kesari yoga which has given him high moral stand, he has
strong Mars which is showing his skills for research based work. Also point to
note here is that Mars is again in nakshtra of Jupiter and Jupiter himself is
in nakshtra of Mercury. This chart exuberates pure bliss.
The Divine plan : Combinations for learning astrology - I
It’s been the timeless quest of human being to find how
things work and mechanism underlying the why and how part. The Divine knowledge
of astrology is known to provide deepest clues and hints about what a soul has
brought, where its headed and what experiences it will accumulate while
undergoing this process. We are in the age where information is available as
soon as impulse is generated in the mind and in such conducive environment,
eager minds can tread on the path of learning pretty fast. Though when it comes
to learning, the inclinations and potential can be clearly read from the birth
chart itself and same goes true for astrology too.
Though some combinations are mentioned in ancient classics
(like in Saravali, Sarvartha Chintamani etc), we will work
on broader guidelines which can be
replicated and can give us a framework to work on. Let’s have a look at
some reliable patterns which indicates desire, potential and even destiny of
soul to learn, explore and master the art of Jyotisha.
Jupiter in first house
Throughout the history, human beings have been endeavoring to
explore, learn and expand the horizons of their minds in search of something better.
When it comes to expansion and advancement of any aspect, the mighty and pious
Jupiter comes into the picture if we try to map things in astrological sense.
Jupiter is the planet signifying the upward flow of energy and desire to expand
and accumulate. This is the force of nature which generates hope and makes one
rooted and visionary. It’s a symbol of hope and Truth. Like the planet Saturn
defines the limitations and challenges which a Soul has to face, position of
Jupiter shows the level of blessings and potential of individual to rise,
expand and evolve. Birth of an individual with Jupiter placed in ascendant is
by no means a meager placement. When one comes with this mighty planet being
positioned in first house itself, then it is the birth of huge significance. Before
we move into specifics it’s important to repeat that how Jupiter actually
behaves will depend on the sign in which it is placed. Let’s move to discussion
of what are the possibilities when the Guru
of Gods is positioned in the first house, when a Soul begins its journey on
earth.
Saturn in twelfth house
Twelfth house is one of the most complex area of chart and
hence most misunderstood and not really well explained, especially when it
comes to placement of planet like mighty Saturn. Saturn in itself is considered
to be most intriguing planet and when it gets placed in twelfth house of birth chart,
it is quite certain that implications are far reaching and needs very careful approach.
To begin with, it’s important to know what twelfth house really is. Speaking in
broader sense, twelfth house calls for a big shift. Its change from material to
non-material. In terms of physics analogy, it can resemble black hole, an area
where things disappear or are lost. Its call to human to look beyond desires
(after thorough and repeated experiences), and come out of unconscious living,
what typically is called getting out of the wheel of Samsaara, the escape from cycle of mundane existence. Saturn here
can be very influencing .Let’s see its manifestations in various forms.
