Vedic astrology indeed gives us strong
clues and probable path that life may undertake to unfold the potential of
chart and make one experience the contrasts, inducing the evolution through it.
Looking for one particular meaning of planets in one’s chart might not be
possible as astrological interpretation strictly depend upon skills (both
analytical and intuitive) of an astrologer. What’s even more important in
contemporary times is how much exposure does the counsellor himself has to
really relate to issues of the native .Level of exposure and educative
background of astrologer gives him or her the ability to explore more varied
meanings of planetary placements and combinations.
This chart belongs to a young girl who is
in her late twenties right now .Being in India in such age and unmarried, parents
become too worrisome about marriage, which is the case with her. She has Mars
in ascendant and Rahu in seventh house. Now obviously it is clear that there
will be some sort of challenges in relationship ,but what majority of astrologers inferred and conveyed to her
parent(her mother) constitutes essence of this article.
(Chart
details curtailed for native’s privacy)
Upon seeing her chart, one of the
astrologer from north India said: She has
Rahu in seventh and this girl will not marry. Another one said she should not marry at all. And third
one said no boy should marry this girl .Now
all of these astrologers perhaps forget that this is a chart of a girl who is
waiting to get married eagerly and listening to such crude and raw
interpretation will play huge spoiler in her life ,perhaps even more than the
actual mishap(if any) itself .Remembering that this chart belongs to a girl who
needs more acceptance and a boy who can understand her impulsive traits and
allow her to heal more(Sun extremely weak in her chart, showing death of father
at very early age, left her totally shattered),would have helped this girl more
.This is what I intend to call as Human
touch, giving a human touch to chart in front of you and seeing it as a only as a symbol which shows evolution
path.
Second chart belongs to women who has
entered in her 40s and is trying to find more meaning in her life through
trying to choose a different and more fulfilling career path. She explained to
me how one of the astrologer, on seeing her chart told her : You do not have anything in your life, nothing
good is going to happen now onwards. She was left blank and clueless as
this statement doesn’t made any sense to her .
It’s quite typical of traditional
astrologers to portray a picture of gloom upon seeing planets in 6th
and 8th house of any chart. This woman has her prime planets, Venus and
Mercury in 6th and 8th respectively, which must have tempted
that astrologer to declare that there is nothing good in her chart. Perhaps he
forgot to relate that this is merely a chart belonging to a women, and not to
some non-living entity which has ‘nothing to look forward to’.
Birth chart is just a symbol, which is like
arrow mark on road which shows the way. It’s important to remember that chart
indicate the traits and probable life path, and belong to individual. Always remembering to give the human touch to
birth chart in question makes mind let remain open in deducing relationship
between what planets mean for that individual and appropriate guidance which a person
deserves at that particular moment .A timeless quote would perhaps capture all
the essence here, We are not human beings
having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human
experience.
