Paralyzed, that too unconsciously, by traditional
limiting views on tenth house, its definition and scope looks confined
to matters of career only.Obviously this is partially true, and there
is indeed more to this house. This is the house
which tell us about one’s contribution towards society, the word Dharma
will aptly describe this house, which means following inner instincts
that lead to fulfillment of destiny. This is the house which tell us how
we are perceived by masses .In his
book Steven Forrest correctly mentioned that tenth house shows how we
look to the people who do not know us. In more subtle sense this house
describes quality of Karma that one engages in present incarnation.
Now when Prince charming is positioned at the time
of birth in midheaven ,it shows that a Soul is ready to achieve
tremendous heights .Mercury in itself is always a neutral planet ,and is
fast to take the qualities of other planets which
forms any relationship with it. In tenth house this aspect of Mercury
becomes even more important. Childhood memories remain integral part of
their personalities and even lay foundations for their careers. How it
actually happens? Mercury in tenth house individuals
develop a strong sense of individuality right in their childhoods ,and
often environment at home gives them informal yet strong value system
based upon that they dream of building their occupation. A boy in his
teens asked his mother, Mom how much money is
required to run the house ?,his mother gives him some figure, which gets embedded in his brain and based on this assumption he dreams of pursuing a dignified career.
When in strength Mercury gives bent towards work
which give opportunity to display intellectual might. Such individuals
have enormous egos which stems from their success, which gets well
recognized in society they live in. They find it
hard to simply believe in something, they need evidence, proofs and
rationalization of events provides them a strong sense of individuality.
Their status and quality of life might or might not be distinguished
from the rest of their peers ,but irrespective
of this fact, they like to believe that they are more worthy than others and their contribution in society is unique hence irreplaceable.
